They both did well and the next year they were rewarded with separate driving seats. In fact, Ken Butler III managed to come 2nd in 2004 and even beat his brother, who was meant to be the better racing driver when they were younger. This is when Ken began to make his mark and emerge from his brother Brett’s shadows.
He did well in this series and after a few years of moving up the ladder he eventually earned his spot in NASCAR. As a rookie, things did not always go according to plan for Ken Butler III. He had some mishaps and some accidents that he would later admit were because of reckless driving. However, he also showed some frightening speed and overtaking maneuvers when he was on his game. He showed the consistency of a champion and that is what marked him ahead of his brother. Ken always had the talent and so did Brett, but Ken showed that hard work, determination and supreme concentration is a combination that is hard to beat.
