Sure you know Brett Butler the racer from all the races you’ve watched on DIRECT TV but do you know Brett Butler as a person? There’s more than one thing to point out about his personal life and we’ve taken the time to show you a few highlights:
Brett was born in Lilburn, Georgia which isn’t too far outside of Atlanta. He grew up here as well which he says made for a welcome racing community.
He attended Parkview High School where he actually didn’t race but competed on the wrestling team on which he was a “star.”
He began racing practice at age 15 by racing go-karts with his older brother, Ken, who you may have heard of!
Butler signed with Waltrip racing when he was only in his early 20s to be part of a driver development program. He credits it with teaching him to become a better dancer.
The year after he completed the program he placed 2nd in the Rookie of the Year category.
Brett is single and lives in Georgia with roommates.
