I would have loved to say otherwise, but it is evident enough that drag racing is one of the most dangerous and deadly hobbies. However, the fun that comes with the racing makes it to be one of the best and most loved sports in the world today. A drag race becomes even more dangerous for it is not done late at night on long stretches of road. The good news however is that if you love the racing, you can still get to participate in it. The U.S has some legal drag racing, which is done in a safe track. Just like the street drag, two vehicles get to compete against each other along a long track. The cars have to be fitted with a parachute, which is set to help slow down the car past the finish line. National Hot Rod Association is the body in charge with majority of drag races in the United States. There are five classes in drag racing in the NHRA, which is; Top Fuel Dragster, the Pro Modified, the Pro Stock, Top Fuel Funny Car, and the Pro Stock Bike. The professional classes include the Super Stock, the Sport Compact, and the Top Sportsman among others.
